The Research Vertical

The Publications Department of the Ashoka Public Policy Society was engaged in a multitude of events throughout the semester and summer break. The Department was involved in developing content for the marketing team to engage audiences on various social media platforms, including the "States and Policy" series. Among others, the series included prominent states of India such as Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat and delved into the successful public policy implemented. Finally, the Department also produced articles, op-eds, and commentaries on various public policy-related themes.

The Social Media & Marketing Department

In the last academic year, the Marketing Team undertook a series of successful social media campaigns and initiatives to engage our audiences and stimulate dialogue. Our efforts began with establishing our online presence on LinkedIn and Instagram, where we saw a substantial

growth in followers and engagement levels. One of our prominent campaigns was a unique series titled "Professors on Policy." This involved interviewing Ashokan professors about their perspectives on policy, and sharing their insights through an Instagram Reel series. The campaign facilitated meaningful conversation and encouraged intellectual exchange amongst our followers.

In a bid to highlight the crucial role women play in policy making, we also launched a "Women in Policy" series. This series aimed to counter the stereotype of policy being a male-dominated field, by celebrating and acknowledging the contributions of women. The series was positively received, inspiring us to plan a second installment in the upcoming summer. In addition, we are looking forward to introducing a new initiative that involves sharing and discussing books around policy. The intention is to continue fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of policy amongst our followers. These upcoming activities reaffirm our commitment to engaging, educating, and inspiring our community through diverse and meaningful content.
